Summer In Newburyport…
I have been on the Bella Donna working to get her in the water for May 1st. During the week I ran into Joe Grady, One of the captains of the Clipper Fleet. He told me that they were catching fish until this crazy wind came up. The weather should be more favorable for fishing this coming week. http://clipperfleet.com/
I also bumped into Jay Lesynski From the Merri-Mar yacht Basen http://www.merri-maryachtbasin.com/Home.html there were no boats in the water there yet that I could see. That is when I came to the realization that it is still only April.
May 1st is right around the corner so he should be dropping boats in the water fast.
Last but not the least, as I was working on the Bella Donna at Overland Marine, One of the captains of the Ninth Wave, Dan Swift, also stopped by. I thought that the Ninth Wave would be in the water sooner, however he says that the Ninth Wave will be in the water during the middle of June. http://www.9thwave.net/
With all of this great weather I have just not realized that it was only April. The Bella Donna will be in the water on May 1st, and hopefully, will be out sailing during the weekend of May, 5 and 6.
